Richard Lindzen: Profile of a Moderate Climate Skeptic

The Weekly Standard has a good article highlighting the career and views of Richard Lindzen.  Even the alarmists have to take his views seriously and he’s one of the few skeptics who the media will still quote.  I have noting to add to the piece, read the article.  You’ll come away enlightened.

  2. Adam says:

Sad to see something that is supposed to be rational being reduced to mindless demagoguery.

  3. Kilian says:

  4. Trent says:

“climate science” as such didn’t exist when he was beginning his career in academia. Rather, Lindzen studied math.”

That may have helped him learn how to accurately predict and detect patterns.

“he contends that the “alarmists” vastly overstate the Earth’s climate sensitivity.”

Because they’re getting paid by solar and wind energy companies to report those findings.

  6. Trent says:

“Already by ’88 the New York Times had literally a global warming beat.”

That’s a long history to try and tear down.

    • Lucas says:

yeah, that institution has been mainstream for so long that getting the NY Times to post anything else would be near to impossible.

  7. Jordan says:

“Thus, while the full IPPC report demonstrates a significant amount of doubt among scientists, the essentially political Summary for Policymakers filters it out.”

How unfortunate for the world. To not get the full story is just terrible.
